Web Site Planning & Site Information Architecture
All topic modules (presentations, workshops and seminars) can be offered separately,
combined or modified to meet any need(s). They can be lengthened or shortened and
will be customized to organizational needs, goals and expertise.

These courses will focus the planning or analysis / review process and how
to establish the Web site information architecture (site layout & nabvigation).
Web Site Planning (new site)
Learn the planning process that must take place before any
HTML / design of your Web site may begin. Determination
of users / target market(s); goals of your site; content options;
and what you wish your visitors to accomplish when they visit your
Web site. Potential uses; guidelines for material and graphic
selection / adaptation; and "call-to-action" strategies.
No HTML or creating of a site is done during this session.
Format: Presentation, discussion and limited hands-on / online.
Prerequisite: Basic understanding of the Internet
Web Site Information Architecture (site layout & navigation)
Learn how to build sites that work. Emphasizes making
information easily accessible to users. Learn to follow a
systematic, user-based process that saves time, money and prevents
site problems. Structure and organize information according
to a logical hierarchy. Group and lay-out information on pages to
create task-oriented, user-friendly sites. Develop effective
site-wide navigation systems. No HTML coding or creation to actual
Web pages is done during this session.
Format: Discussion / demonstration / presentation.
Prerequisite: None
Each topic is designed to meet the specific needs of the participants. Material
content can be added or removed, depending on needs and goals.
