Web Site Graphics & Content

First impressions count.

We believe that a quality design concept will draw a visitor further into your site. After careful analysis, we create a graphical look and feel for your site which meets your organizational requirements and standards.

Technology and Usage Considerations

Since viewers will not wait for information, we carefully balance quality with speed by implementing design techniques that minimize the download time of your Web site pages.

We design Web site elements to meet and the needs and technology level(s) of your organization and its target audiences / markets. Web sites that we develop are tested on a variety of platforms, browsers and browser versions, and modem speeds. We design to the "lowest common denominator" or the technology and usage patterns of your target audiences.

Presentation style / "Look"

The Web is a largely visual medium. Appropriate and creative graphics can help attract favorable attention to a Web site.

Preparing graphics for use on the Web is a complex process. Web browser color palettes are limited and images that look good on one operating system or browser may be poorly rendered on another. Large graphics files must be reduced as much as possible without sacrificing image quality.

Web page style has to do with the look and psychology messages it conveys --e.g. professional, crisp, serious, formal, professional. funny, high tech, warmth, airy, etc. All of these styles can be conveyed with proper design.

The style of a Web site should carry a theme look, which should be consistent from page to page and should be consistent with the photo message and organization's image and identity. Style is developed through an integration of such things as color, graphics, use of visual space on the page, writing tone, etc.

These style elements must be carefully chosen in order to project your image to the USA and world.

Balance of Content and Graphics

Content will need to be created or repositioned for the site. Some pages will require more text while others may require more images and/or graphics, but it is critical to achieve an aesthetic balance between text and graphics.

A balance must be struck between visual interest and fast page loading time or viewers will click away before the page finishes downloading.
